"Developer License Required" without warning and almost invariably at the worst possible time
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
It is to me, and the template has nailed it:
"I'm always frustrated when [...]" I see these three little words... "Developer License Required". (Living in Australia and using En-AU I'd be more comfortable with it being "Licence", but I can live with that.)
It's not the fact that the licenCe expires. It's not the update process, which is relatively quick and relatively painless.
It's the fact that this happens WITHOUT ANY WARNING and inevitably RIGHT WHEN we're rushing to fix something critical.
If memory serves me correctly in the earliest days of Arc we would get a warning that the licenCe would expire in 7 days, 6 days, 5 days. We could then renew the licence at a low pressure time of day, when something hasn't just blown up, or when management doesn't need something done urgently. In short, we could update the licence when there is no time critical situation in which we need to drop everything and do a licence update, again.
Describe the solution you'd like
A 7 day warning that the licence will expire. NOT to have it dropped on us in mid-stride. I'd also like to see an indication of how many days the licence has to run in the Options.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I can't think of any because the licence timer is completely opaque. I suppose I could track the expiry to see what the pattern is but that would take a while to do.
