I have Pulse running on a very active Development/UAT server. The challenge I have is that we restore the production model quite regularly back into Dev/UAT. When I do a change tracking in Pulse I get all changes - current and prior changes (thus before and after the model is restored from Production).
Can we have a way to clear (purge) the Pulse DB of all change history up until a point in time? Thus fro Development the model change tracking is som much easier to filter.

We have a request regarding our pulse deployment to cloud we wish to run by you.
We currently just use single admin user for log on to pulse for our cloud release of objects to IBM Cloud.
We have a security requirement to deploy usage of an ldap group for applicable group membership and usage of the group within Pulse authentication in addition to specific app security for that group within Pulse.

We use PULSE Migrations for both DEV=>DEV, DEV=>UAT and DEV=>PRD/UAT=>PRD.
For SOX Compliance, a source & Target Instance would be great as the auditors are hammering us on Deployments not related to PRD.
This will assist us and Auditors to immediately identify any migrations going to PRD. (On a high level)
We understand going into the Package gives that detail, but by then the Auditors are already on our case. (We try and mitigate with Archive Function)
**Describe the solution you'd like**
On the 'Migration Package' dashboard, one of the below will suffice:
* 1: Next to the current column called 'Instance' (Which is Source Instance) add another column that states Target and populate the Target Instance Name. i.e. Instance might state CXMD DEV02 and then Target will state CXMD (Which is PRD)
* 2: In the Executed Column, rather than a simple 'tick' icon, rather state the Target Instance name... i.e. If Blank, that indicates the Package has not yet been deployed, if there's an instance name it indicates that its been deployed to that instance.
**Describe alternatives you've considered**
We have been utilising the 'Archive' function, but its not ideal as the Auditors demand a non-filtered view.

**3. Describe the bug**
Maximum size for elastic search directory has been configured at 50GB. When this limit is exceeded Pulse sends error alerts **and should also automatically compact the directory by removing older files.** However, we have bee receiving alerts for several days and the elastic directory continues to grow and Pulse has not deleted any files.
**5. Expected behavior**
Pulse should automatically compact the directory and not continue to send alerts.

A Pulse client wishes to analyze its Pulse data with PowerBI instead of Kibana.
A bit of research led me to believe it's possible:
1. https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/sql-client-apps-powerbi.html
2. https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/sql-odbc-setup.html#dsn-configuration
I'm running Pulse locally and I installed the ODBC client (https://www.elastic.co/downloads/past-releases/odbc-client-7-0-1), used the same port 8097 at Pulse ES but I'm running into some issues. I'm not able to get past this:
![image](/uploads/ce16ee545c6cece963637a4ea7b544a0/image.png).
![image](/uploads/91d653a01e947e56dfe572218f69bf20/image.png)
The latest ODBC driver version is not compatible so I'm stuck with this 7.0.1 version which is different from the config guide above (less parameters to configure).
I'm also wondering if we are not limited by licensing? https://discuss.elastic.co/t/is-specific-license-required-to-use-elastic-search-odbc-driver/286089
That's why I'm reaching out to any ES expert of the CODE team to see if this is possible! Vincent suggested me otherwise to look at a PowerConnect option which could be a good workaround.
Thanks in advance for your help!

The new Segregation of Duty/Approval Process is great; thank you! It helps a lot.
This is however quite tricky when we have 10 DEV instances, 2 UAT instances and 2 PRD Instances and all migrations are blocked by the global parameter.
During DEV, we sometimes migrate items from one DEV instance to Another or from DEV to UAT or PRD to DEV/UAT, these migrations should not require approval.
However, migrations to PRD Instances are the only items that require Approval/Segregation Of Duty.
Can' one flag per instance if this should have Approval or not?
**Describe the solution you'd like**
Per Instance, have a check/flag/identifier 'Migration approval Required'? Yes/No
Meaning, migration TO that instance require approval as Auditors only care about migrations to PRD Instances.
**Describe alternatives you've considered**
Have a DEV & PRD Instance of PULSE.
However, because we need to sometimes migrate from PRD to DEV a segregation of Servers doesn't provide the control accurately.

CC: @rsantos @bsiu
Overview: We are migrating a Pulse package to multiple TM1 instance/database and environment. After successfully migrating to 1 of the TM1 database/instance, the following issue is happening:
**Steps:**
1. Migrate the package to 1 of the TM1 instance - this is successful.
2. Migrate the same package to the 2nd TM1 instance - This will quickly show "Complete" right after clicking Execute. "pulse.log" continuously updates while the objects are migrating behind the scenes.
3. Since Pulse UI shows "Complete" as per Step #2, I tried to migrate the same package to the 3rd TM1 instance. This will quickly show "Complete" right after clicking Execute. Pulse will allow to migrate to another Instance once "pulse.log" shows "Completed migration package: ....." as per Step #2.
Please see the attached screenshots and logs.

**1. Key information:**
- Pulse Version 6.3
**3. Describe the bug**
Pulse 6.3 introduces the ability to include public subsets in migration packages. However, there is no way to separate this from the source control tracking flags for tracking of dimension structure and attribute values. When setting up or ammending source control filters are used. (e.g. apply source control to all measure dimensions). There needs to be a mechanism to apply or exclude or otherwise differentiate between setting and clearing flags for change tracking versus flags for subsets! Currently ther isn't whihc makes setting flags via use of filters completely unusable as the check and uncheck filtered buttons apply the actions to BOTH change tracking and subsets.
**5. Expected behavior**
Change tracking and subset tracking need to be able to be set INDEPENDENTLY. This shoudl be the default behaviour, not jointly.
**6. Screenshots**
Clicking check filtered checks BOTH change tracking AND subsets. We do not with to flag subsets to be tracked at all! Only dimension structure.

It happens quite often that someone is using Pulse to migrate a dimension but they forget to enable source level. It is just after executing the package that they realize that elements were not migrated.
We should add some hints/warnings to let them know that elements will not be included in the migration if the source level is not enabled.
We could add a message just below the name of the package in the last step:
![image](/uploads/e23907b4b1eda1cff80099a6779d8b34/image.png)
Something like:
"This package contains x dimensions (dimensionName1, dimensionName2...) without [source level enabled](https://code.cubewise.com/docs/include-elements-attributes-in-dimension-source-control). It means that elements will not be included inside during a Live Update".
The message should only appear if Live Update is ticked. This message is not relevant for Offline Update.
It is more for information, so it should not look like a warning.

I am working with Huntsman, and we are using Cubewise tools like ARC, Pulse and Connector for Power BI.
In previous month we faced an issue where a user was trying to open a view in Power BI using mdx query generated in IBM PA cube view.
He unintentionally opened 17 such instances and these threads were running in IBM PA even after user disconnected the session in Power BI. This caused threads to go into wait mode (including security refresh and save data) and server was in unresponsive state. The only option left was to restart the IBM PA instance. Due to this issue the server was not available for 600 minutes and there were some cubes where user reported data loss.
Can your team please check what caused issue with Cubewise connector for Power BI ?
