We are pleased to announce a new version of Pulse is now available for download from the Cubewise Forum: forum.cubewise.com/t/pulse-release-v6-0-3
This release brings back a very popular Pulse 5 feature, the **Offline Migration**.
## Important information when upgrading from Pulse v5:
* You can’t run Pulse 5 and Pulse 6 side-by-side.
* It is highly recommended to read the Pulse 6 getting started guide: code.cubewise.com/docs/getting-started-with-pulse-v6
* The documentation will be slower than Pulse 5 because we are using the REST API instead of accessing the data directory directly.
* The TM1 REST API ports for all TM1 instances should be open and available to Pulse.
## Recommendations:
* It is recommended to [Back-up Pulse](https://code.cubewise.com/docs/backing-up-pulse) before doing the upgrade.
* To use the migration features between two Pulse servers, the Pulse version needs to be the same in the two environments.
## What's new
* The Pulse Monitor has been updated. If you are upgrading from Pulse v6.0.x, you will have to [**upgrade each Pulse Monitor**](https://code.cubewise.com/docs/upgrading-the-pulse-monitor).
* The offline migration is now available in Pulse v6. When you need to do a migration manually (gathering all TM1 objects, then stopping the TM1 instance, pasting the objects in the target TM1 data folder and finally starting the TM1 instance), you can ask Pulse to gather all the objects and the dependencies for you. By using Pulse, you will avoid missing objects (for example missing a dimension when migrating a cube).

* When Pulse is monitoring a TM1 instance on the IBM Cloud SaaS, it is now possible to login to Pulse with your IBM ID account.

* When upgrading from Pulse 5 to Pulse 6, if you want to use a migration package created with Pulse 5, you will have first to recreate it. To do that, once Pulse 6 installed, you will just need to select the package and click the recreate button. Pulse 6 will go through the list of objects from the package and create a new migration package with the latest version of the objects. If one object is missing, a warning message will appear.
