DBRA returning blank for aliases where the alias is not populated

Describe the bug

The DBRA function in Slice is returning blank when referring to an alias and the alias value is not populated with a value different to the element name. This is different to the behaviour in Perspectives. It is also different to the behaviour when displaying the attributes in the Slice cube viewer.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open the attached spreadsheet and refresh it against the Slice demo data
2. You will see that the DBRA returns blank for the aliases that are not populated and the same as the element name.

Expected behavior

For the DBRA function to return the value of the alias / element.

Logs and Errors

For the WEB client, please attach the:

This is causing an issue at a client that is migrating from Perspectives to Slice.

I believe this is a change in the TM1 server behaviour itself. It used to be that a CellGetS to the attribute cube where alias was blank would return blank but AttrS would return the principal name. Now AttrS also returns blank. I'm not sure when in v11 this changed. Therefore I don't think this is a Slice issue as it is just reflecting what the server returns.

This seems like a pretty big and breaking change especially for rules.

DBRA in Slice returns whatever it receives from the API. It is possible to check the attribute type and return the principal name for empty strings when the attribute is an alias.

What does Pafe return?

Hi @aeremenko I can only test against a V12 server, but PAfE returns the principal name where the alias is not populated, same as Perspectives.

Currently seeing this same issue during conversion of a Perspectives report to Slice. My experience is the same as R.B. shows in his original images where the DBRA for elements with a blank attribute are not behaving the same between systems in an Excel Worksheet. Blank attribute in Slice results in a blank return in workbook where Perspectives returns the element. I can use an if statement as a workaround in my current template but agree that this would be great to see the same behavior as Perspectives.
